Do you know that feeling? You’re on a holiday in a strange country, the world is moving before your eyes and you realize that you are only a spectator. Everybody knows exactly where they have to be and why and the only clue you have is a guidebook that directs you from church to museum to piazza. We think it doesn’t always have to be this way.

Also we had to learn a lot about the theatre called Italy. We had to find out which farmer produces the best wine, where the little white roads connect the best hikes and which monk wants to show you every corner of his monastery. We haven’t stopped learning yet, but we would love to tell you everything we know.

Casa Fontana is not a hotel with check-ins en check-outs, but a house where we get to know the people and where people get to know each other.
